2023-24 Season Rings In New Board

New Season, New Board

As the Rosanna Bowling Club heads into its 61st season, the 60th Annual General Meeting saw the retirement of four of its current Board, paving the way for a new younger team to take on the responsibility of managing the Club’s affairs.

James Inifer had given RBC 17 years of loyal service as the Financial Director, and decided it was time to take a well earned break.  He has handed over to Rod Kerrison who was, last season, the Club’s Auditor.  That role has now passed to Kevin Meade.

Matty Ferguson, who stepped in as VP – Bowls Director after last season commenced, has stepped up to become President, after the retirement of Don Casey, and Matty’s postion has been filled by Robbie Boxshall.  Relative new comer to Rosanna, Bob Graham, has taken on the previously vacant role of Marketing and Membership Director, and well known identity, Gary Veale, has become Property and Maintenance Director following the retirement of Jim Gregory, a very diligent servant in that role.

The positions of Secretary and General Manager were retained by last year’s incumbents, Kay Plain and Rebecca Merrick, with the Social and Welfare Director position remaining vacant at this stage.

The Weekend Pennant Selection Committee consists of Chris Ball, Jane Edgcumbe, Barry Ferguson, Damian Jardine and Luke Roche, whilst the Midweek Pennant Selection Committee remains unchanged with Leo Bosso, Glenn Lyons and Kay Plain looking after the selections.

Congratulations to all those who will assume the duties of ensuring Rosanna Bowling Club remains a successful entity in all facets of its existence.
