The fat lady has sung her song and it’s all over for the Weekend Pennant for Rosanna. The Twos went to do battle with seven other section winners in BV Division 5. They started the quarter finals against a side from Palm Lake (a village resort club) and won well with all rinks up. In a shortened version of the weekend comp (12 ends) all four Rosanna rinks won amassing 70 shots to Palm Lake 26.
In the Semi Final, there was a complete reversal of form, and when Rosanna came up against Doutta Galla, all four rinks lost, with the Goannas managing only 30 shots to Dotta Galla’s 68.
Sure it was disappointing, however, such is the nature of the game, and Rosanna should be proud of their effort throughout the season, and that they won a Sectional flag, and made the semi finals of the Division playoffs.
I will leave it to others to assess, analyze and report on the season just completed, however, I can say I have enjoyed reporting on your exploits since coming out of retirement, and who knows, if that Lizard doesn’t want to take over, and the powers that be want it, I may see you on these pages again next season.
