Round Twelve Midweek Pennant

Hello Bowlers,

The heat got to us yesterday and all three teams had to share the points with their opposition.  The good thing is that we held our positions on the ladder.  There are still two rounds to be played, so we have to keep ourselves honest, and finish as high as we can for the best advantage in the finals run.  No doubt you are up to it. With no definitive result because games were not completed, the following scores reflect where we were placed at time of cancellation.

Side 1 – Gwenda Bail, Robin Doherty, Kevin Meade and Jeff Cook, 8-14 (11 ends).

Chris Ball, Tony Campbell-Burns, Mil Crea and Alan Mason, 9-7 (10).

Jack Dunbar, Margaret Hunt, John Aldridge and Warren Williams, 6-13 (11).

Rosanna 23, Ivanhoe 34 (32 ends)

Next week Ones (3rd on ladder, 124 points) play Preston-Reservoir (4th on ladder, 98 points) at Reservoir.

Side 2 – Rob Barclay, Eddie Sheean, Paul Gregory and Jim Gregory, 14-5 (10).

Paul Bassett, Nicole Carriero, Veronika Crea and Leo Bosso, 6-8 (10).

Kevin Nelson, Russell Hyde, Colin Watson and Glenn Lyons, 5-16 (9).

Rosanna 25, North Balwyn 29 (29 ends)

Next week Rosanna (1st on ladder, 139 points) play Heidelberg Golf (2nd, 124 points) at Rosanna.

Side 3 – Noel Broadhurst, Alan Phillips, Ray Prestney and Kay Plain, 10-12 (11)

Lorraine Campbell, Tony Canty, Ken Barr and Don Casey, 15-11 (11).

Terrye Meade, Rob Hunt, Phil Hynes and Ralph Moulden, 6-17 (10).

Rosanna 31, Diamond Creek 40, (32 ends).

Next week Rosanna (1st on ladder, 159 points) plays Greensborough (7th on ladder, 64 points) at Greensborough.

Let’s hope for much better conditions next Tuesday, and three wins for the Goannas.

Keep ’em rolling.

The Lizard.
