Round 11 Midweek Pennant

Just like the Saturday report this one will be very brief because of the heat out.  What a bummer.  So nothing changes in terms of ladder positioning, everybody scoring 8 points each.  For us, as a Club, it meant that we could not improve our position on the ladder, but by the same token none of us dropped a spot either.  It’s onwards and upwards next Tuesday though.

The Ones will go to Ivanhoe (2nd) who are only 3 points ahead of us.  Big opportunity to put a dent in their armour.  Always nice to beat them, and even sweeter if it’s on their turf.

The Twos will play at home against top side Montmorency.  It is a little like David and Goliath, but we all know what happened to Goliath.  Can history repeat itself?  It can if we believe in it.

The Threes will travel to Diamond Creek (1st), another hint of the minnow and the giant, but just believe brothers and sisters, I say, just believe!!

So, that’s it really.  In signing off, remember what I keep saying, “the reward of a thing well done, is to have done it”.

Let’s all do it, and I chuckled when I overheard Tim Pullyblank telling someone at the club, that familiararity breeds contempt – and children.  See ya!

The Tout.
