Newest Life Member
The Rosanna Bowling Club bestowed a Life Membership on Kevin “Jock” Meade at its Annual General Meeting on Sunday 7th May, 2023.
Kevin joined RBC on 27 August, 1991, and to date he has played 625 pennant games for Rosanna. An Accountant by profession, Kevin soon became involved in club affairs apart from playing.
Over the years his contribution to RBC has seen him as Club President, President and Vice President of the Men’s Bowling Section (in the “old” days), Auditor, Bar Manager and Barman, initiator and convenor of the Corporate Challenge fund raising events, convenor (along with Wilma and Fred Paine) of the beginning of Barefoot Bowls at Rosanna, co-ordinator and presenter of the Weekend and Midweek MVP awards and co-ordinator of various end of season trips to Barham and Howlong.
There maybe a few other things that could be added to an impressive list, but it does show that Kevin is a very keen Club person who is not afraid to pitch in, and give of himself to the benefit of others.
Congratulations Kevin, an honour well deserved.
